At Al Fresco Holidays, we don’t just like to provide expert advice to our customers, we also like to head off and experience them as well. We’re experts when it comes to mobile home holidays, so we like to provide our customers with an extra level of information about what your trip abroad might involve. Whether you’re planning on heading to France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Holland, or Austria, check out our holiday diaries to get detailed insights on our parks, the local areas, and the sights you might love to see.
Who: Kris, and Karen with their nearly 3 year old Amy
Where: Lake Garda. We wanted to see as much of the region as possible, and also to mix the Parks up a bit so there was something for everyone. After strong recommendations, we settled on 1 week at Eden, which was a great location from which to explore (perfect for Karen and I), followed by 3 days on Bella Italia and 4 days on Del Garda Village and Camping, with these Parks more geared towards children.
When: 9th – 23rd May 2016
Travelling: We flew from Manchester to Verona with Monarch – great flight times on the Monday 9th arriving in the early evening, and back late in the evening on the 23rd. We had booked a hire car to be picked up from Verona airport and took a booster seat with us, in the hold at no extra cost.
Who: Lynn, Ceri, Maria and Megan (aka the golden girls, friends travelling together)
Where: Tuscany, choosing Park Albatros as our destination as we have visited the Norcenni Girasole Club before. This park is also close to Piombino as we wanted to visit Elba during our stay.
When: 4th -12th June
Travelling: We flew from Manchester to Bologna with Ryanair, Bologna is actually 140 miles away from the park; Pisa the closest airport at only 52 miles is the best option for people travelling to Tuscany. However we had an independent stay at the end of our holiday near to Bologna. On arrival we have booked car hire so picked up our Fiat Qudo which I can only say looked very similar to the Popemobile very apt as we were in Italy.
Who: Nick Riggs
When: October 2016
Travelling: Campsite Zaton is a short trip away from Zadar Airport and, naturally, the city of Zadar. Flights can be made by Ryanair for the best value for money. You can drive, but it’s quite a long journey, so I can highly recommend a cheaper, faster return flight.
