Stratford upon Avon
- Lot's of facilities to keep the kids happy.
We didn't do any organised activities but we could see them all happening - the kids were too busy using the pools.
We always felt safe and secure.
The swimming pools were varied which meant we could swim, play with ball or just mess about. They could do with more free shaded places around the pools though. Having spent nearly £1500, I begrudge having to pay extra for some shade under an umbrella.
I'm not sure it is value for money as it's quite subjective. At £233 a night for 3 in a mobile home with free use of the pools and kid's clubs? I suppose that could be classed as VFM!
Just be aware of the huge numbers of mosquitoes.
A note for Celiacs: My daughter can't have gluten so we could have done with more information about this before we went. But, we found that in the Spar supermarket there was a limited but reasonable gluten free shelf of bread, pasta and treats. The main restaurant called Venghetta pretty much could do any dish of pizza and pasta gluten free (but not sure if other toppings or ingredients in those dishes that would normally contain gluten could be made gluten free?). But it meant that a margherita pizza or Spaghetti al Ragu would be gluten free. That kept her very happy. It made life a lot easier! I just think there should be more literature around to advise people.
