Get reacquainted and enjoy brand new park facilities when camping in France

Regarded as one of the longest running love affairs in travel, UK travellers are often top of the pile when it comes to total number of guests visiting France, with around 13 million of us making the short trip across the English Channel in recent years.

The lifting of travel restrictions to the country, amongst others in Europe, paves the way for guests to visit our parks in what is the leading Al Fresco destination of choice for a 2020 holiday.

With pavement cafes and open-air bistros awakened once more to the tune of animated conversation and local markets stocking up on fresh, colourful produce to tempt in passers-by; our parks in France are ready and waiting to provide a perfect base for taking in these treasured town and village scenes.

To help get you settled in to your chosen camping spot in France, we have a range of great new park facilities we’d like to share with you:

Brand new water park at Les Peupliers - Roussillon

Inclusive of the wide open beach space of La Plage du Sardinal, which also made our Top Five Beaches in France list, a stay at Les Peupliers in endlessly sunny Roussillon to the south eastern corner of France has always been inviting.

You and your family will be truly spoilt for choice when deciding how to spend each day under the light blue skies, as you will now find a fun-filled water complex complete with a covered pool, two lagoons and a rejuvenating spa area.

Thrill seeking children and teens will relish the chance to tackle the space racer waterslide, with new playgrounds and bar restaurant facility now also in place - ensuring that a trip to Les Peupliers in 2020 is guaranteed to be a memorable one.

Playground at La Croix du Vieux Pont - Paris

Have little ones in tow and don’t want to venture too far after jumping off the ferry in Calais?

Situated in the tranquil surroundings of the Royal Compiégne countryside, La Croix du Vieux Pont expertly combines the best of the outdoors with a dash of urban excitement, with Disneyland Paris and the iconic capital virtually on the doorstep of your mobile home.

As well as making use of the relaxing lakeside setting where pedal boats and fishing are the order of a typical laid-back day on park, toddlers and children wanting to let off some steam can do so at the brand new outdoor play area.

Complete with swings and a slide, not to mention interactive noughts and crosses, a secret hideaway and decorative designs throughout the wooden structures, your only issue will be prizing them away when heading back to your accommodation!

Refurbished reception space at La Vallée - Normandy

As far as family-friendly French destinations go, Normandy’s beachside familiarity is not unlike England’s south coast, making it a great starting point for future exploration of the country.

Whether you want to spend the day together along the seemingly endless stretch of golden sand at your fingertips, or venture out into the surrounding countryside before stopping off for pancakes at the seaside cafes of Houlgate, La Vallée has everything you could want from a self-catering outdoor adventure by the sea.

Building on a wide range of new facilities implemented in recent years, including a new bar, entertainment area, water park and tree top adventure course, we can now welcome you to the park in style with a newly kitted out reception area.

Dome Domaine third width image

Giant dome at Domaine de Ormes - Brittany

A strong possibility for a multi-park stay within France’s glorious western coast, driving across the border brings you to Brittany and the dramatic 17th century port of Saint Malo.

Take in the dark blue seas changing into turquoise as you move closer to the shoreline of the latter, which can be viewed during a stroll along the famous harbour walkway - with the walled city as your striking backdrop.

Explore this diverse landscape from Domaine de Ormes, which has been the holiday venue of choice for thousands of UK families of all ages for over 40 years.

Offering plenty of space as one of our largest parks in Brittany, you can now enjoy the added benefit of an enormous new dome to enhance the already impressive water park - no matter what the weather.

Waterslides marina third width image

New waterslides at Marina d'Erba Rossa - Corsica

When looking for somewhere where the kids can excitedly make a splash in the same breath as having rest and relaxation high on the agenda, our Marina d’Erba Rossa could well tick all the boxes.

Lapped by the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, experience the ‘island of beauty’ in all its glory with direct access to the sandy coastline within this pleasant slice of resort paradise that also holds its own in the activities department.

Over half the island falls within a national park, so hiking and kayaking in stunning surroundings is always possible, while you can let the kids enjoy the new waterslides in the amazing beachside aqua park.
